It was time to take a hike. I needed to train up a bit for the upcoming Prezzie Traverse. And the old man is always up for getting out on the mountains.
So we took off with our trusty ´Fifty Hikes in New Hampshire´ (1984 edition) and found a little spot out near Monadnock. Just out Rt. 12, just over the state line.
Gap Mountain
Definitely highly recomendable.
Here´s Bruce where we took a water stop just before we came out on the top. It was about a 1.5h hike up as I recall.
Here we are on the top!
This is Mt. Monadnock – great view from Gap Mountain´s middle peak.
Somewhere along the Levitra Online trail I encountered this anthill going crazy. What is the word for this?
Here we have late June blueberries ripening. I usually think of blueberries as ready in August – but these will be ready by July 4th probably. The top was full of blueb bushes.
I was a happy guy, getting to the top of this fine peak!
This is Wachusett to the Southwest from Gap Mt. I think.
Nice alpine stuff at the top. Not sure the names of these – a type of azalea?
Out to the West, you might be able to see Ascutney or Mt. Snow…
And then we headed back to the ranch. Thanks, Pop! That was a great hike!
