Wow.
I don’t know that I have the right words. On Wednesday, August 26th, I had the pleasure of taking a hike in the Swiss Alps. Not quite the high peaks, but a wonderful little ridgeline above the Rhine Valley – near Sennwald, near Buchs, across from Liechtenstein…to hike to the Fälensee.
I was so lucky to come to this place to have this excursion with my host Marc Vogg and the entourage of Anu Yadav and her sister Pramy, and our friend Chris Avery. Such good company for a fine day’s excursion.
I really can’t wait to return. I have so many photos to remind me. And I’ll never forget the sound of the cowbells tinkling up from the valley like the sound of a bouncing brook. I had never heard such a chorus! It was probably somewhat average in the vales of Schweiz but to me it was absolutely magical!

And yet, even on this blog entry, I must share with you some of my favorite pics!
This was on the way up in the gondola:

Dudes!
Flowers:
Wow – nice valley, looking west – the gondola comes up on the west side, and we hiked south from the station along the ridge, Rhine on the left, this hidden valley on the right…
This is where the cowbell symphony was coming up from
Great trail, great company. Great day for a hike!
So good to be in such a special place with my old friend Anu!
Yep. I was lovin’ it!
This is the Kreutzberg – a great peak for a target of a hike!
Well, actually, we didn’t make it up the Kruetz; we started to feel thirsty…
So we tried to follow the locals…
I had to catch my breath…
And conveniently, the Berggasthaus was nearby:
With great views during the repast…
And after a couple of beers, all that mountain air was catching up with us!
Then, envigorated, back up the trail!
Just so nice!
I will never forget the delight – nature / agriculture / sun / friends!
What a lovely landscape!
